The average reader usually judges the popularity of each periodical by its circulation. High-it means that the authority is appropriate. At first glance, it is difficult to disagree with this. Indeed, if the magazine is sold not only in every kiosk of Rospechat, but also in the passages of metro stations, railway stations and bus stops, then an opinion is subconsciously formed about it as a solid publication that requires attention and respect. The question arises: why not subscribe to it? But our advice is not to rush to act on the principle of "everyone reads, and I also want to". These qualities are inherent in the magazine of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "Landmark", which in 1999 celebrates its first anniversary - the fifth anniversary. Nevertheless, in such a short period of time, our printed publication has clearly defined its course - to sow reasonable things in the hearts of Russians, to educate real defenders of the Motherland, true patriots, based on concrete facts and materials. At the same time, the magazine is designed not only for military readers. It is distributed throughout the Russian Federation and in the CIS countries. According to sociological studies and Orientir's mail, the materials published in it find a response in the hearts of both young people and veterans, people with different professions, education, and life experience. At the same time, the number of subscribers, despite the difficult economic conditions and unsatisfactory financial support, was always quite high and averaged 15 thousand. The "Synopsis" section will publish not only materials to help the heads of public and state training groups, but also methodological developments and the experience of non-standard propagandists. Also, we will not forget legal advice under the headings "Your lawyer", "Rookie guide" and others.
