ACADEMICIAN M. P. KIM, S. L. SENYAVSKY. The Soviet Working Class During the Ninth and Tenth Five-Year Plans.

The working class, the main productive and leading social force of Soviet society, acquired maturity with the growth of developed socialism. Its numbers and share in the USSR population has grown and its cultural and technical level enhanced. It exerts a stronger influence on the development of production, higher productivity, the formation of the new, communist personality. The working class is replenished chiefly by school leavers. This tendency, apparent already in the 1950s - 1960s, has become a cardinal social process promoted by the CPSU's social policy.

KHADJI MURAT IBRAGHIMBEILI. Contemporary Turkish, British and American Bourgeois Historiography of the Eastern Crisis of the 1870s.

The article surveys the present state of the Turkish, British and American bourgeois historiography of the Eastern Grisis of the 1870s. The author critisises one-sided, erroneous and tendentious schemes of modern bourgeois historians of various trends (conservative, liberal, objectivist). The article discloses the real causes of the crisis, which became the apogee of the national-liberation struggle of the Balkan peoples, shows the progressive role played by Russia in the 1877 - 1878 war-the decisive stage of the crisis, and position held by the Western powers. The author, at the same time, speaks of the works which are objective in their assessement of the crisis and policy of Britain, Austria, France and other Western powers towards the Balkan peoples.

Z. I. SOKOLOVA. Soviet Historiography of the Cuban Revolution.

The article deals with the works by Soviet historians on the problems of the Cuban revolution and gives an assessment of the contribution made by each of them to the study of various aspects of the development of the revolutionary process in Cuba. The author pays particular attention to the study by Soviet historiographers of such cardinal problems as the revolutionary situation of the 1950s, the character and the driving forces of the Cuban revolution.

V. S. RYKALOV. French Historiography of Soviet-French Relations.

The article analyses French historiography beginning from the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1924 and up to the present time. The author describes the consistent struggle of Preach Marxists for peace and friendship with the Soviet Union. Rykalov's analysis shows that along with anti-Soviet and anti-Communist trends there is a realistic trend motivated by necessity for cooperation between the two countries.

M, S. IVANOV. The Reactionary Pahlavi Regime in Iran.

The article reminds us of the internal and international situation in which Riza Khan and the Pahlavi dynasty came to power. The author analyses its reactionary domestic policy aimed at strengthening the survivals of feudalism and suppressing the democratic and national-liberation movements. The article reveals the links between the Pahlavi dynasty and British colonialism, fascist Germany and American imperialism. The author shows how the popular anti-Shakh and anti-imperialist movement led to the fall of the regime.

The main property of the neutral zone of a permanent magnet is the presence of a directional force of motion (magnetic self-motion) with a pronounced attraction, in relation to any main pole of another magnet. When the magnetic field of the neutral zone moves parallel to the magnetization axis of the permanent magnet along the plane of the conducting circuit - an electric current arises.

Collision of gas molecules is the source of energy. We assemble a simple galvanic cell (analogous to the well-known battery). We place two electrodes with a potential difference in a NaCl solution. With a fixed load of the external circuit, we discharge the cell. Without breaking the external circuit, we cover the galvanic cell with a glass flask. In the mixture of atmospheric air located under the flask, we increase the percentage of carbon dioxide several times by introducing carbon dioxide under the flask. We record the restoration of the cell charge.
