"Africans in Russia" is a new topic for Russian social psychology. However, the realities of the modern metropolis, which includes Moscow, make you pay attention to it. For modern African studies, it is already becoming customary to refer to the mental characteristics of Africans, to the psychological aspects of their inner world, to the peculiarities of behavior and interaction with "friends" and "strangers". Such works are available, although they are not numerous All these works are united by the fact that Africans are observed in their natural socio-cultural environment, where they form unity with nature and their own community, where they are an organic part of their world. It is in this context that the problem of "we and they", which has become traditional for social psychology, is usually considered, and so figuratively described in its time by B. F. Porshnev2. It is important that the levels of identification in the "we" category and juxtaposition in the "they" category are expanded. From "we" - members of their own tribe, representatives of the people and "they" - members of a neighboring tribe, others, strangers, the circle expands, citizens of one state or region of Tropical Africa are already perceived as" we", and" they " - representatives of other peoples (Indians, Chinese, white Europeans).
In connection with the proposed topic - "Africans in Russia" - the very perspective of consideration changes. Now they themselves are placed in a different socio-cultural environment. Now the Africans are the very "they" for the inhabitants of Russia. Who is "we" to them now, and who is "they" in the first place?
