The present Atlas is a supplement to the author’s lecture courses available online. It reviews various experiments on inelastic scattering of polarized protons. The Atlas is aimed at providing a clear explanation of modern experiments related to the spin of protons at the excitation of the 2+ and 4+states in the 90,92Zr and 92Mo nuclei.

The Atlas is aimed at providing a clear explanation of modern experiments related to the spin of protons at the excitation of the 2+ and 4+states in the 90,92Zr and 92Mo nuclei.
Atlas of Data 3 is a continuation of the previously published Atlas of Data 2. Here we consider specific spin manifestations of inelastic scattering of polarized protons from nuclei near N = 50. For this study, theoretical transition densities are very important. However, to create a nuclear empirical shell model, their experimental equivalents for protons and neutrons in nuclei are also necessary. The material is illustrated with examples of the scattering analysis at low and intermediate proton energies.
Transition densities are divided into proton and neutron components. The former were obtained from electron scattering experiments, and the latter – from intermediate-energy proton scattering. Experimental neutron densities were determined using a tested system of empirical effective proton-nucleus interactions.
Atlas of Data 3 consists of three sections. Section 1 considers surface variations of transition density in inelastic scattering of polarized protons from nuclei near N = 50. Section 2 discusses the empirical shell model in the (e, e’), (p,p’), (π±, π±’), and processes. Finally, Finally, Section 3 reviews the role of neutron and proton transition densities for nuclei near N = 50.
The Atlas is recommended to students studying experimental nuclear physics at universities and polytechnic schools. It can be used as a guide to understanding elements of quantum mechanics. Such a guide, in the author’s opinion, can eliminate the existing gap in the available scientific literature.
